The Certified Balancing Technician program is based on Vibration Institute Guideline No. 1 Requirements for training and certification of personnel – Balancing of Rotating Machines.  The program is based on examination, training and experience.
 
Category I:
Individuals certified to Category I are required to understand basic shop and field balancing concepts and be able to perform vibration analysis, conduct single-plane balancing, calculate balance sensitivity and phase lag, and evaluate balance results against ISO balancing standards..
 
Minimum Recommended Experience:  12 months 
Minimum Training Hours:  32 hours
